We had an opportunity to fly to Florida at the end of February for a quick 4-day visit with Nonnie and Granddad. Kyra was really great on the plane and now wants everything to go as fast! I think we'll be enrolling her in IRL driving lessons ASAP! She's always telling us in the car, "Go faster, Mommy. Go faster!"
So, she did great on the plane, but...not so great walking on the sidewalks, or in the foyer of a restaurant, or anywhere there was a palm tree! Oh, wait...did I mention WE WERE IN FLORIDA!?! So, you all remember her fear of the Christmas tree...which quickly turned into a fear of ALL foliage. Well, a tropical vacation with much drooping foliage is NOT the place to take someone with botanophobia (yep, it has a name!). So, we've found ourselves having to now name every plant or leaf Kyra comes in contact with, just to put her at ease. Where did this come from? I wish I knew...but I'm putting this one on Erik and his phobia of pennies (okay, not really a phobia...but he has a weird thing about pennies! just ask him).

Ok. I'll bite. You must publish Erik's "thing about pennies".
Oh... see if you can find something about the fear of garbage trucks.
Ever since Kyra saw the garbage truck eat our old couch, she hears it and runs to the furthest corner of the house and huddles until all sounds of it are gone.
Pennies?
This is so funny, Mark and I almost died laughing! Is she afraid of flowers, too? I hope you are doing well, we miss you!
