Husbie sent me an email just now that explains the lending philosophy at his place of employment. Love this guy!

WF wants to get back into the lending game. It's kind of like this:
Santonio Holmes and Hines Ward are used to either being open, having one guy, or occasionally two guys covering them. Their goal was to get open and catch the ball. Ultimately, Ben has to GET THEM THE BALL. That's his goal. Get them the ball. This has been successful in the last few years. Not all the time, as it never is perfect, but by and large, it's a successful venture. The goal has been accomplished because it was achievable.
Now, the rules have changed. Santonio and Hines are now covered by 4 men each, and both of them have lingering high ankle sprains and turf toe. Ben, who has a sore groin, a strained labrum, and a dislocated thumb, is still in the game. Even though 8 men are covering 2 receivers, another eight are allowed to rush Big Ben with only two offensive linemen allowed (one of them being Colon, who will inevitably hold), Ben MUST GET THEM THE BALL. Now, more than ever the goal and measurable expectation is to GET THEM THE BALL AND DO IT RIGHT NOW AND DO IT SUCCESSFULLY. Added to that fact, Ben doesn't really feel like throwing, because it's not his personal philosophy at the time. He would rather run the ball, and slowly churn out victory.
This exemplifies the loan situation right now. Get it?
