Paint the Town Orange

So, I got to abandon my husband and child to spend a fun weekend (well, okay...1/2 a weekend) with the "Kerse-meister" at UVA. We discovered that SGGL (a band many of you readers will know and love...there's that "many" reference again) was scheduled to play for the "Paint the Town Orange" night at the Downtown Mall. Through Lisa's contacts, we also scored some free tickets to the saturday, home-opener game, UVA v. Duke (insert giggles here). It was hotter than, ...insert your favorite "hot place" here... but we had a good time! It turns out that the best Thai food this side of the Indian Ocean is in Charlottesburg (yep, that's right...I said "burg"), VA! Hoo knew? Anyway...UVA barely sqweeked out a victory, I discovered that "go left" really means, "go right," and one should always be thankful for gracious friends and husbands. So...thanks Lisa, for a great weekend; and thanks husbie for being the best man in the world! I love you, P-squared!
